Workplace Violence Training
The Bureau of Justice defines workplace violence as ” nonfatal violence (rape/sexual assault, robbery, and aggravated and simple assault) against employed persons age 16 or older that occurred while they were at work or on duty.” As you can imagine, it is absolutely essential that all steps possible are taken to prevent and reduce incidents of workplace violence within your company.
Our course helps you to achieve this by covering four main areas in relation to workplace violence. The first area studied focuses on characteristics of workplace violence. The course then moves on to elements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. Participants will then learn what an effective workplace violence prevention plan should include and how they should handle violent situations.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify workplace violence and the characteristics of workplace violence
- Review elements of an effective workplace violence plan
- Identify different ways to prevent workplace violence situations
